Baby Shower

Well it has been a really busy couple of weeks. So I am finally getting around to posting about the baby shower we had on the 17th!

It was great to catch up with friends and family. Tim and I received so many great things for the little one that is on the way. Two of my bridesmaids threw the shower for me (Thanks Steph and Rachel). The theme was duckies as you can see above.

We are all set for Baby to come home! I have organize (some might call it nesting) the things in the nursery.

Tim and I finished up our last child birth class on Monday and are as ready as first time parents can be :-P. Click here for some of the pictures from the shower, I will try and upload some more pictures soon.

P.S. Thanks again for all the wonderful gifts everyone!!

The New Valances

Here are the new valances that my Mom made for our dinning room and living room. My Dad and Tim stapled them to the wood and hung them this past Sunday.

In the pleats of these valances is a different fabric (hard to see in the pictures) with a different design.

Painted Guest Bedroom

Here are pictures of the painted guest bedroom. We still have to add a valance in this room and hang the paintings and other wall hangings.

Almost finished Nursery

A few weekends ago we painted the nursery. This weekend we hung the valance in the window and organized all of the baby stuff that we have. Here are a few pictures of the nursery. We still need to hang some paintings and the letters that spell the name. However, we can't hang those until after the baby is born.

Visit to Hershey

This past Saturday Tim and I drove up to PA to visit my friend from college. Aaron works for the Hershey corporation at their headquarters. We hung out at Aaron's place for a while before grabbing some lunch at Red Robin (one of my favorite American restaurants).

We did a driving tour of the different buildings involved in making all the chocolate. We then went to "Chocolate World." This is the place where you can buy any of the Hershey's products. Tim and I got a few things that are a little harder to find at a regular grocery store. Tim got some different dark chocolates and coffee flavors to try. I got some cherry Hershey kisses and some Twerpz (flavor twirlers filled with a different flavor). In "Chocolate World" we also took a tour of how the chocolate is made in their different factories.

We played some Boggle and watched a movie before heading to Outback for dinner. We then left to drive back to Virginia.

Baby update

(sorta a profile shot, he kept putting his hand over his face)

Today I had my 28 week(beginning of the 3rd trimester) check-up . I passed my gestational diabetes test! Which means I wont have to drink that nasty glucola again.

I also had another ultrasound done today. The baby is growing well and we are still on schedule for the a due date of April 23rd. He weighs about 3lbs. For his length and weight he is in the 56% (so pretty close to average). His heart beat was 159 bpm (with all that sugar running through my blood).

You can check out more ultrasound pictures here.

Bradley at 7 weeks

Last weekend we went to visit my sister and Bradley. My Aunt and cousin were in town from PA as well.

We had fun telling stories and making Clare laugh. Bradly has gotten really big. The last time he was weighed he was 11 lbs (I think this was at 6 weeks). He is in the 95% for weight and length.

You can check out some of the pictures we took while we were down there by clicking here.

Lancia's Indoor Soccer Game

Sorry for the blurry picture they were running fast. We got to see Lanicia play soccer last weekend on her indoor soccer team. She has really improved a ton since she played outdoor this past fall. I cannot wait to see her tearing it up on the soccer field this spring.

Dogs playing in snow

I am finally getting around to putting up some pictures. A few weeks ago we got a little snow. Tim and I played in the snow with the dogs. They had a lot of fun.

This was Boomer's first snow, I think he liked how excited Tipsy was more than the snow but they still had a lot of fun.

You can check out more pictures here.
