Magic Muk

Sammy and I picked a few concoctions to make from this book:

Sammy had so much fun making and playing with this. We played with the magic muk for well over an hour. This stuff is like magic because you can squeeze it and make a ball. But as soon as you loosen your grip on it, it turns back into a liquid. Sammy kept saying it was “melting” and that is totally what it looked like!

I asked Sammy if he was having fun and this is the response I got:

His favorite part was that Mommy got her hands all dirty and played right along side of him! To make your own magic muk mix 1/3 cup of water with a few drops of food coloring (ours stained our hands a little but the next day it had faded away). Then very slowly add 3/4 cup of cornstarch. DO NOT STIR! Let it sit for 2-3 minutes then have fun playing!

We have a few more things dog eared to do in our book this summer and one concoction planed for each week of school next year! Sammy loves this book!
