Frontier Culture Museum

Sammy and I had the pleasure of going to the Frontier Culture Museum with some friends.  We had been once before but Sammy was really little.  We had a blast and hope to go back again!
These poles were decorated for Oktoberfest and let us straight to the German farm… well after we stopped at each pole that is Winking smile

There were people dressed up in the clothes of the country they were “living” in and doing daily tasks.  There was someone making sauerkraut in this house and it was very interesting:

Next up we walked to Ireland:

Next we took the nature trail around a pond.  The view was gorgeous and makes you forget that you are only 2 miles from the interstate Smile with tongue out

Next up was England.. Sammy and I didn’t go in since there was a lot of people inside but he did (sorta) pose for me with the beautiful side of the house:

Sammy joined in the game of Quoits and scored 2 points for his team (which was better than some of the big kids there):

We had to stop and visit the goats where Sammy had no fear petting these guys:

Next up we went to Africa:

The hut in the front was the man hut.. I didn’t get a chance to learn what all the others ones were but we hung out in the “man cave” as the guy called it:

We finished up with lunch in the parking lot (they have tons of picnic tables but we didn’t feel like lugging everyone back over to one Smile with tongue out
