Photo Dump - March

Tim’s company has a big company banquet each year.  This year’s theme was Duck Dynasty.  I was cracking up at Tim with his beards shirt and stirring his coffee with his Gerber.

I started a 10 minute room pick up at the end of the day.  Man it made a HUGE difference:

Sometimes during quite time Sammy will ask to borrow my phone to take a picture of something he made.  This time he got in the photo too *winks*

Sammy had fun working on this angry birds puzzle.  Puzzles are not a strength of his so I was proud to see he accomplished it on his own!

Illustrated Family Bible Stories [A Review]

DSC_0140

I was delighted when I saw the  Illustrated Family Bible Stories show up at my front door.  We have read through our other Children’s bibles several times each.  So I was just glad for some new life in that department.  I was even more excited when I opened up this bible.  The pictures in this bible are simply amazing.  I loved that they are realistic and not childish.

Another favorite feature of this bible is the little facts along the sides of the pages.  This is where they have little details from the stories defined for children (and adults *winks*).

Another little feature we love is the ribbon bookmark they have built into the book.  Several of our children’s bibles don’t have those.  We end up folding the page over after we lose our regular bookmark!  This will keep us from having to do that to these pages!

The stories that are included in this bible aren’t just the typical stories.  There are several that I have never read to Sammy.  This bible covers the Song of Songs in such an amazing way!  They tell the story of that book so you know what happens without having to go into all of the details *winks*!

I would highly recommend this bible to anyone, even if you have a big stack of children’s bibles on your shelves already.  With the realistic pictures and side details you will all learn something new with the Illustrated Family Bible Stories.

Photo Dump - January

My new page a day calendar for this year.  It’s a nice brain activity in the morning:

2014-01-03 08.44.31

Sammy got strep throat again. This time his only symptom was his heart going into SVT.  Strep does a number on his system!

2014-01-07 18.28.52

I got a juicer and enjoyed my first green juice.  I need to take it out and use it more frequently!

2014-01-10 11.19.41

Sammy’s heart went into SVT again and we went to the ER to get an EKG of his heart.  It was fast but normal when we were there. We now have a heart rate monitor so we can see how fast his heart is beating.  It hasn’t happened since then so it is most likely related to Strep.

We attempted to get a cavity filled.. Sammy had a tough time relaxing even while on laughing gas.  I think this is all related to when he got sick in the fall.  We now have an appointment to get the cavity filled while under mild sedation so that it is a positive experience instead of negative.

Photo Dump–December

Yes, I realize I am ridiculously behind on these posts.  I will be catching up over the next few weeks!

Our homeschool group had an 80s Christmas Party.  They did an 80s rendition of Charlie Brown’s Christmas.  It was hilarious:
